DG2 is the next progression of DG. It is very good, and addresses some of the limitations of DG. You can go into Steam and look up games for "Tower Defense". Not all are like DG, but you get to look around for others that may interest you.

I'd suggest Prime World Defenders, Evil Defenders and Ancient Planet - all available on Steam. Steer clear of Prime World Defenders 2, though.

i tried a lot, but disliked most of them (even acclaimed ones). the ones above gave me something extra that made them worth playing.

Unholy Heights, very different to DG but great in its own way and adds something special to TD games.

Also as already mentioned, Prime World Defenders, DG2 (but beware, the second one is buggy)

Unstoppable Gorg. Ancient Planet. Bardbarian. Defend Your Life. Hexagon Defense. Kingdom Rush. Last Hope Tower Defense. Rise to Ruins. Sang Froid Tales of Warewolves. Sentinel 3. Toy Soldiers. Yet Another Zombie Defense. Domain Defense VR if you've got a VR headset and Xbox controller. There's a normal one but the VR version is better. These are the best ive found on Steam but they're not all spectacular. A good few of them are. You'll get a few of them free on windows store. Like Last Hope Tower Defense And Prime World Defenders.

Dawn of TD ? Get your old Warcraft III DVD's and get the maps Skibi's Castle (one of the best TD ever, but so difficult) Element's TD and err was it Ancient's Tower Defense ? Huge Map, huge waves =).

Other than that somebody already mentioned Kingdom rush, very nice one.

If you played Age of Empires 2, this is areally good map for TD action against others. Only drawback is in SP it sorta is very easy. If you have a few friends, its a blast.
