It´s absolutely astonishing how they managed to fumble this one.
It looks awesome. Has FSR3 support! Has a LOT of warhammer units!

It has totally interesting and vivid map environment,... that you can´t interact with. Instead you walk through the levels in a kind of tunnel or lane, and are blocked off from any other way.

Mission design is atrocious. Beginning with "chapter 3", you get sidegoals you can´t achieve in higher difficulties. At least not all at once. But a replay for that? No, thanks.

It has 3 main types of units plus heroes, but you really can´t use them to max efficiency, because you can´t break from a fight and can´t really micro them. Once the unit is (or thinks it´s) in battle, you can only fight to the end OR flee back to base, no inbetween.

Pathfinding and because of that unit control is horrible. If a unit thinks it´s "in battle" , because it´s in the general vicinity of an enemy, but can´t actually reach the enemy, (because it´s blocked by another friendly unit for example), the unit is not doing any damage and can only use some abilities, if it has any that make sense without it actually fighting.. or flee back to base. That´s bad unit control design and absolutely annoying. So, just mass of units and that´s it.

The cinematics look awesome, but are so cheesy, it hurts. A flag bearer that throws his flag away to climb down a hill, a girl-boss that´s hardest of the hard but also has feelings (heresy!).. come on, really? This is not your run of the mill fantasy, this is Warhammer. But, yeah, whatever. It´s girl-bosses mourning the loss of her feelings now, I get it.

For 10€ with all add-ons it´s okay´ish. But it´s really far from good.
Have yet to play multiplayer, but I doubt it´s a lot of fun with these tunnel-like maps and weird point capture system.

this game has potential idk if the devs abandon the game or not but from adding proper base building even something like halo wars would make it feel better or increase the sense of scale like making it more of each unit is a battalion might help with the slower pace feel better and the how the units interact from making it annoying to command and please ad in control groups makes peoples life so much easier or even add proper modding support can at least try to save the game

This is a hard game to rate, I love the setting and the lore. But the gameplay is quite slow for an RTS. Its a nice game to play on steamdeck on a flight when you have lots of time to kill. But playing it on my desktop I find the pace of the game a bit frustrating.

I think it has potential, so a sequel with some quality of life improvements could be a very good game.
