$100 Commission for Blender to SFM Video Tutorial
Hi folks, i am looking for someone with the know-how to create a screen-recorded tutorial of how to port a "complex" Blender model to SFM. The model in question is Padme Amidala - Attack of The Clones (warning that model is nsfw so i will exclude links here).

EDIT: The commission would be for the tutorial + ported sfm files + Blender project files

I'm willing to pay $50 upfront to get started and the remaining $50 upon completion. paying through cashapp is preferred.

Just to get ahead of a few comments:
- yes, i know there are lengthy text-and-picture-based tutorials on this subject created 10 years ago that I could refer to. I appreciate that the work there has been done, however I am much better at learning by watching someone actually do it on screen and i feel blender 2.8 is fairly different than older versions of blender when these tutorials were made.

- yes, i know there are some tutorials on youtube but these are usually with simpler models that are not as complex as the padme model. 99% of tutorials on youtube are SFM to Blender, working with a model that already starts as being compatible with SFM. Not many tutorials (maybe none?) start with a Blender model, built and rigged for /in blender being ported to SFM.

UPDATE: just to manage expectations... i'm not a picky person, port doesn't have to be perfect, etc. this is mainly for me to start learning how to port these models, and that's all. i'm sure it will take much more learning on my end to really get the hang of it, so don't feel like this needs to be some sort of masterclass.

UPDATE 2: yikes, didn't realize the Padme model was that bad. i'm not tied to that model in particular, i really am trying to learn how to convert in general.

here are a few other options, if any of these work: (both are also on smu*base)
"Excella Gionne (v1.6)"
"Rainbow Six Siege - Ela"
"Amelie - Death Stranding"

nsfw you say?

A tutorial just for that very specific model, right? It's pretty hard or near impossible to make a more universal tutorials as many models, simple and complex have their own kinks and require specific method to enhance or fix.

Can you more specific on how complex Padme model is?

EDIT: Would it be better if you request a model porting commission instead?

well... if you record it you can sell both the tutorial (first) and the done model (when he fails). :D

yes just for the specific model. not sure how to define "complex" but if you search thee model name as i've put here you will find the blender model pretty easily (on a site that rhymes with "cutbase") to see

And what I'm telling you is that this model (if I got the right one), is total garbage. The torn suit is trash and would take a huge amount of time to fix.

There's no NSFW mesh included in that model. no legs, no nothing. It's a typical "we'll throw it out there and let someone else finish it" type junk.

This model is too broken to even start a tutorial on porting something like this.

yeh. checked. i don't like this file structure either. camera locks. using gimmicks. it uses mask modifiers and intances or links or w/e the f&%! this nonsense is. *vomits*

e1: the nude body is there. the second outfit is indeed broken tho.

e2: had it cleaned and structured for porting, but blender decided to take a dump all over my system. i don't even know how much memory it leaked. something around 7 gigs? lol. this simple model shouldn't have done that. tbf, undo does the whole file bloat. i still had 2 gigs on my monitor tho. i guess windows just failed to free it up. anyway... gtfoh with this sh!t model. xD will not do it.

If you want, you can try this...
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZavzoXLqZCpMVk6HOZlEdCeBWy375tlO

It takes you through the entire process from creating a model in Blender, all the way through SFM. Yeah it is Blender 2.7x, but you can roll back to that version now on Steam... Like this

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2159171807

It will not screw up any of your 2.8x settings if you've already installed 2.83.

You might even want to start reading through this.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=245723825

It will get you started. Modelling processes have not changed that much between old Blender and new Blender, the biggest change is in the UI and what they renamed things to. This will set you up for when I release this...

The new guide I'm currently working on.
