Additionally, what CPU, GPU(s), and amount of RAM does your computer have? (I'm mostly interested in the GPU(s) and RAM, but it doesn't hurt to ask about the CPU as well.)
To find out what CPU and amount of RAM your computer has, press the Windows key, search for and open "dxdiag", and look at exactly what it says beside "Processor" and "Memory" in the "System" tab.
To find out what GPU(s) your computer has, open the Control Panel, change the drop-down "View by" selection list to "Large icons" or "Small icons", click "Device Manager", expand the "Display adaptors" list/group, and look at the exact names of all items in that list/group.
and it says I have 16384MB RAM,
It says Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400f CPU,
And under display adapters, it says NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER.
The fact that you're using Five Nights at Freddy's-related things, however, is not as fine.
It's a known fact that when a session crashes in the way that you're experiencing, it's related, far more often than not, to some Five Nights at Freddy's-related models being in use.
While we don't yet know why*, I can say with high certainty that that's likely (part of) the cause of the problem here, I'm afraid.
* We do know that many Five Nights at Freddy's series models are made in a rather bad manner, though we don't yet know how that causes crashing issues (and therefore also not for certain if, but the "if" seems to be true based on observations).
That also looks very related to your problem. That's a lot of models for Source Filmmaker to handle at the same time, even if they just have moderate detail.
c0sm0, have you been monitoring your memory usage in the session? Crashing in the model browser is a common sign that your memory usage is dangerously high, since SFM can only use 3.5gb memory, and as soon as you cross that limit, it crashes. In the bottom right, you'll be able to see your memory usage. When it's red, you're in the danger zone.
There are things "out of place" about Five Nights at Freddy's-related models (at least/especially the problematic ones), we just don't know how nor why that seems to cause problems.
it's really getting me agitated a lot
i don't want to unsebscribe or delete any of my models
i just want to use sfm for movies like we always do, and find ways to avoid it from crashing
