I watched a friend play through all of this game's content, and subsequently read through the bonus pack. I felt like I needed to get and boot up this game for the requisite 5 minutes just to write a review.

Lily's Well is an absolute artpiece. It oozes care and attention in almost every aspect, and without spoiling it's story content, I can say for certain that the 5-6 hours of playtime it takes to get all the achievements is a rare kind of experience.
Seeing how a game handles something, experiencing what it has to offer, and the nature of the commentary in it, you can really get a grasp of what kind of message it wants to send.
(Especially when that message is clearly outlined by commentary in a PDF)
Despite the content in it, Lily's Well has a message that I dearly appreciate being made.

This story is worth the time invested. Worth the suffering endured. Worth climbing into the darkness of a well to find the answers you seek. Worth the effort to find it's light in a suffocating rainstorm.
It's important to remember that the circumstances of our existence do not define us. What you do with your life; your time on this earth, and how you define yourself, is what's most important.
