Our PvP game mode for DuneCrawl is out now - DuneCrawl Sandstorm! Battle royale you can play online, local + online coop, or singleplayer (with bots). Game is also now 33% off as part of the Steam Spring sale.

Along with that we have a number of large changes to the campaign and fixes! Version 1.1.

• We heard a lot of requests for a PvP mode so started experimenting shortly after release. Battle Royale turned out to be the best use of DuneCrawl's core gameplay: large open world combat with steeds and large crawlers.

• We added a 'Game Modes' option to main menu, and 'Sandstorm' battle royale is our first big new game mode.

• Play against up to 16 players + bots in a large open world. Get loot, find crawlers and beetles to ride, and make it to safety before the sandstorms arrive.

• When playing locally you will automatically be on the same team. Can join teams in the Lobby area by interacting with another player. Bots will be added on match starting (can turn bots off or adjust their number in game settings).

• Right now servers are player hosted, but we're planning to have dedicated servers and more automatic match making later on as we expand this game mode.

• Steed Docking - Can now 'dock' any steed onto the bottom of your crawler. This will then move with your Crawler, and still be there on dying. This way you can keep the same steed now throughout the entire campaign.

• New Save System. Can now use a 'Save' option in the ingame menu to name a saved game (in case you want to continue from that point later). There is also the option now to Quit without saving. In the 'Continue Game' screen you can now select which saved game to load - autosaves, backups, named saves, etc.

• Fixed a number of spots where players/crawlers would get stuck. We've also added a few steeds to quests, and added some signposts to guide players during quests

• German and Polish languages added

• Can now use the 'Dungeon Reset' when in a dungeon, and that will reset the dungeon. Can use this incase you get stuck, want to redo a dungeon, or just don't want to finish a dungeon and want to return to open world.

• A lot of fixes to network stability, and performance. Fixed issues with joining a game with wrong join code.
