Please fix the bug with the Hammerhead dock mission that makes it impossible to continue the story.
Side note. Playing Spider-Man 2 now, Nixxes will realllllly have to put on their big boy pants for this one if they plan on porting it. Without DirectStorage it will be impossible.
Nixxes should not rely only on DirectStorage alone - there is a software called PrimoCache, i used it for many years to boost HDD speed. It caches most used hdd sectors reads (not entire files) and creates L1 cache in RAM with super fast reading speeds, way faster than SSD, and it also creates L2 cache for most freq used sectors on SSD, re-routing hdd reads to ssd, and after initial read it stays resident in RAM. L2 cache is permanent and L1 is temporary, but with this software you can use high capacity HDD for games and use small SSD for caching data from HDD and use also 4+ gb for RAM cache to sky rocket HDD speed.
Problem is that DirectStorage does not measure disks to get idea if its supported or not, it automatically only maps NVMe disks as supported, but with PrimoCache you actually can make HDD fast enough to let DirectStorage work with it.
And lets not forget Steam Deck and its MicroSD cards used for games that has read speeds about same as hdds.
So its better to use some custom technique of reading ahead and caching data in RAM to make anything work fast enough even with HDD.
Also there are new types of SATA and SAS hdds released recently that has 2 headers and has double speed of reads, now they are close to sata SSDs.
I believe soon enough someone will come up with idea to add 4 headers to hdds and it will be able to read from 4 points at time with 4x speed, going way beyond sata 3 speed limit, and since SAS is not present on consumer MB there most likely some sort of NVMe cable adaptor with ned NVMe compatible HDD controller will be invented in next few years. Or maybe there will be SATA 4.
So HDDs still should be supported by modern games, and games should be coded future proof and take into account software HDD cache tools like PrimoCache and new 2-4 headers HDDs and possible NVMe adapters or possible SATA 4 with improved speeds and also MicroSD cards on steam deck.
Happened to me with Devil May Cry 5. Random update broke most everything.
But if the modders are dedicated, I'm sure they'll fix 'em. Just takes time.
I wonder why it was not in game from day 1?
Screen Space reflections for water are ugly!

and replace files from game with these, this version had no such texture loading lag.
NIxxes, please investigate code changes since this depot to find out what change caused texture loading lags.
Also fix stutterings and insane FPS drops from 90 to up to 11 fps that started to happen about last 3-5 patches ago! Sompare old and new code and find out what you possibly screwed in recent patches.
