Is it normal to get more than one candybox?

I saw on the game's wiki that you can only get 1, however, while playing infinite inverse, I got 5 at once, and 3 more being from the second level, I wanted to know if it's a bug, something rare, or just something normal to happen.

It happens. I've never gotten as many as five in one go but did get three. Now that I think of it, It's happened multiple times when I played Queen Sigma. Higher luck can bring about them about and she starts at +50

I usually just get 1 candy box and 1 super candy box but I don't recall getting more than that in a single run. Maybe endless lets you get multiple.

In endless runs, my computer starts dying thanks to the candyboxes. So so many weapons

Random events can spawn more candy boxes. The Golden Fingers can do that too if you manage to reach some kill rank.
