to those who don't know: the VA for 'Pugnala' did a great job for the first two games but got greedy for the third. she then went and ruined it for everyone.

it's like this: you have a talented white devil female voice actor who makes a 6 digit pay in england, decides to work for a 5 digit pay in japan. she worked there for a few years, acquiring accolades, acknowledgement, residuals etc but one day, had enough, got greedy, and demanded a 6 digit to match what she makes in her own country.

they can't comply since it'll put a huge hole in the company's wallet and it will not be fair to all the other talented japanese veteran voice actors who worked in this industry for decades. they'll be like: we've worked so many years and created so many famous international games, anime etc but this one white devil is asking for a 6 digit?

she didn't get what she wanted, made drama, lies about her depression etc, tries to convince the bayonetta fans to boycott and hate the company while ruining the third game. basically: i'm a grumpy old woman, if i don't get what i want, i will not give my voice and ruin the third game.

hope you're talking theater work, because almost no VA makes residuals, especially not in japan, where VAs are paid much worse.
