What is "G" mean in total damage?

I was doing Bone Zone for some gold farming, got the infinite corridor, beat the level and ended up doing 1.2g total damage/4.4m DPS.

Is it billion? Why would it be G instead of B?

Giga. Like gigabyte. Mega, giga, tera, peta, etc.

Might as well ask why it's K for kilo instead of T for thousand.

it is billion. (Kilo = 1000) (Mega = 1million or 1000 x 1000 / K x K) (Giga = 1billion or 1000 x 1000 x 1000 / K x K x K)

M for million is also a norm, because it starts with M
but Most people would go with B for Billion

Most people would go with G bcs it is normal metric prefix. And used in IT a lot - gigabyte GB, gigabit Gb.
