There is no content like that
Most likely the publisher didn't made a rating for Germany (filling the survey), which is soon necessary on steam
Please fix this region block, I am willing to spend money on your game!
This will happen to many older games too which is sad, but its so dumb not doing it for current games
Like I said, there is nothing in the game that would ban the game in Germany....I hope they will fix that but I doubt the devs are looking at the steam forum or even know that
At least I hope this is the case bc it can be fixed without any problems

"Hello, hope you don't mind me replying instead but I just checked this yesterday!
Unfortunately it's due to Germany's stricter age rating requirements. Very sorry to players in Germany 😔"
There was a little more back-and-forth but it ultimately read like it was due to the game's themes and not just the age rating process itself. Welp, off my wishlist it goes then
@silly
thanks for the information :D
As i suspected. the rating process is not related. that goes for many games...
one more game, where I must use my hidden super powers.
I got another detailed explanation that basically confirms the same thing.
Good for you brother, but I'll just play other games as my backlog is big enough already.
edit:
Gonna post it here for clarity:

It's not because the game includes explicit content, as it does not, even though it has some fanservicey scenes. However, by German law, stores (like Steam) are required to have strict age verification of users. Even though Steam has a system that adds a rating to games themselves, they don't have a system to check the age of users.
Therefore, if a game is considered "adult" or simply has elements considered unsuitable for children by German standards, it cannot be sold on Steam at all due to these requirements.
Please be assured that we have already filled in the Steam survey truthfully based on the in-game content, but the results of the survey unfortunately determined that it could not be sold in Germany.
thanks for heads up silly. this clarifies a little how the rating system works in the end. thank you <3
The big issue at the moment is that Steam always is only doing the bare minimum.
Also for the questionaire: Its mandatory to even get a store page. Every new game has it filled out.
But I wouldn't know if it's worth it or not.
This issue was recently talked about through several gaming news outlets in/from germany, because there was a huge wave of games being in danger of revoked availability in the german steam store.
As long as the devs fill out the form, which is free btw, Valve will geoblock the games from being available through the german steam store.
so basically they cant be bothered, a shame really
yeah nah that doesnt really make sense, yeah i hate these rules but theyre not THAT harsh
