I'd be happy with just an octopath traveler gfx style remake with the complete story properly playing out. Will never happen, tho, sadly. :| No one in current square has the mind to do this properly. I hear FF7r has great gameplay, but the writing is abysmal compared to the OG. Would be even worst with xenogears.
Let's not talk about the fact that Xenogears has infinitely smaller interest/impact than ff7 from a business executive standpoint, and you can see how that would impact the budget they'd allocate to that project. Just wouldn't do it justice.
1 was excellent
2 was terrible
3 was not as good as 1, but still excellent. I have not played the third, it's just the general feeling I get from comments about it and recapitulations on youtube. :|
Xenosaga suffered kindof the same fate as xenogears. Was supposed to be spread across 6 installment, so the 3rd was packed with tying up loose ends and a lot happened.
