People don't actually understand their tech !!
looking at those comments stating "it works fine with my pc", "getting 40 to 60 fps with 2080ti all maxed at 1080p", and "the game works great with 4080 1440p getting 60 fps with few drops" etc... makes me truly think that so many people just dont understand how powerful their pc is !! for fk sake if you own a 1660ti this game should get 60 fps without any AI scaling BS on high settings IF it was coded and optimized properly! stop thinking that ohhh new games are gpu hungry and am glad my gpu is getting whatever the fk fps its getting ! this is your hard earned money which bought those powerful pc parts and games to enjoy with superior graphics and smoothness, stop making excuses to developers because it sure as fk they are abusing your ignorance and lack of tech knowledge to sell you crappy games and get away with it !! this game is bad as fk technical wise, and you should at least with a 4070ti get 120 fps without any AI scaling with all settings maxed out! VRAM should not go beyond 12gb of usage for 4K unless you're giving me 0 stutters and 0 loading times !! i advice everyone to at least do a quick search on youtube for their gpu and its capabilities and what kind of fps to expect on optimized games! dont just blindly praise those devs for their shiz job just because you are a fan of something or because you bought delux super mega transformer copy of the game and you just feel bad about it so you convince yourself that the game is good !

I find the OP's general statement to be true...
Too many peoples definition of "no issues" actually means "some issues, but they don't bother me"
OR
"I don't have the technical knowledge to recognize the issues in question"

that's how refresh rate effects motion. that's why high refresh rate monitors for mobas are popular. because it doens't matter if you have 300fps on a 144hz screen.

The difference between desktop usage at 60hz and 120hz is similar to gaming at 60 fpsand 120fps. Drag a window or scroll this forum at 60 and it's blurry, pan the camera in a game at 60 and it's blurry. The blur is greatly diminished when you get up into the triple digits regardless of whether it hz on a desktop or fps in a game.

Now crt's were very different. At about 52 fps the motion blur was completely gone in games. While on desktop you had a flicker unless you were at 75hz or higher.

I am working away from home right now and just about managing to play on my laptop which only has a GTX 1060 mobile so below the minimum spec. I am kinda not wanting to install it now when I get home as all these comments are making me think it will be worse lol.

this right here is the problem. prejudging things without putting in some effort yourself.

Anyone who says they can say the difference are seeing other issues. Otherwise they would see the frames of movies and TV. They don't because they are consistent.

Better to have your frames locked and consistent. That is what feels smooth. So if someone is getting 30 frames per second and it doesn't deviate they can yes play the game and it's fine. Those getting 90 FPS down to 30 will see for lack of a better word the sheer through the entire computer and notice the difference.

Better to lock it than jump around.

That is not true my friend. if you argue about anything past 90 fps then yeah, but between 60 to 90 fps it is surely noticeable if you have a screen to support it. i personally have a Samsung G7 27 inch and whenever the frames drop under 90 i can immediately tell without even using a monitoring software. thats in story, slow based games, in FPS games like Valorant, anything below 200 fps is noticeable. so it all depends on the hardware you have.

Well, that's the way it is. In truth you need experience or education/knowledge in order to perceive a lot and also when the experience is worse you just do a lot of coping. Back when I was still playing on low end hardware I was also saying ''its alright'', because I couldnt get any better experience back then.

Seriously, I don't care; tell yourself whatever you need to. Don't expect anyone else to share your outrage, though; if people say the game is fine at 40 then it's fine at 40.

I'm not the one high on copium saying things like ''most dont care about 40 vs 60 fps''.
My high end GPU only cost me 650 euro. Why would I need to rationalize that?

No, its obvious to everyone that you are the one trying to rationalize your poor experience.

Tell yourself whatever you need to.

Again: you can copy arguments your betters would use all you want.. but it wont make you a real person. Our arguments dont work when applied by someone that doesn't understand them.

You truly deserve an award...for most useless post on these forums.

The post does not make any sense nor provide any information even remotely useful.

Most importantly, I do not need to understand my tech to see and feel that the game work or does not work properly.

I would love to get 120FPS on my expensive gaming computer. Hell, I would not mind stable 60 FPS. Despite the game failing to run adequately on my specs, I'm not going around posting stupid ♥♥♥♥ that makes everyone else stupider just by reading it.

you can tell the difference between 60hz and 120hz just moving your mouse on windows desktop. I don't know where people get this idea that humans can't perceive past 60hz even if it was true the latency decrease from higher frames is for sure noticeable and I would argue not only important for pro esports players. Anyway anyone that I have ever met who went from a 60 to 120hz monitor has said that it is definitely an improvement so anybody who is trying to say that it makes no difference is either just capping or they have never experienced it and are going off of articles they have read online.

Yeah lol I play modern warfare 2 at around 200 FPS at 4k ultra with my 4080, ryzen 9, 32gb ram but with this game I literally can't get over 55-62 FPS

Thank you for proving my point. your comment shows exactly what kind of people are making our community go downhill.

This right here, dude.
I have a firm belief that if you are going to get into PC gaming, you should have some basic tech knowledge and know how to troubleshoot. You should have a somewhat in-depth idea of how your hardware and software works.

That's like 0.5% of gamers. You'd be surprised how many of them just think "I'll just Google it" but when it comes time to Google it, they still ask me for help.

I feel ya on this!

For me I have 4K hdr 120 display with gsync…5900x 32gb gskill 3600 cl16 ram, and 4090…most games I cap to 117 and stay pegged which is why I got the hardware I got.

However this game I can get 95fps max, but with frame drops to 55 there’s no point in running it capped at 117 so I gotta cap to 60 which cuts down stuttering a lot but still happens when it cuts quickly to 55 then back…all the while it’s only using 55% of gpu and 22gb vram. I hope they fix gpu utilization and the vram mem leak so gsync can work like it should.

Saying that I have enjoyed playing so far, at 25 hours so far and the story has been fantastic and who doesn’t love light saber duels lol
