Which is basically EA's translation for :

"We released a 5.5 GB patch but it doesn't do anything."

It gave like a 5 FPS boost for me - absolutely pathetic for a patch this size.
yup same here for me, i barely see the difference. we need a whole 30GB worth of patches to fix this crap even with RT!!
So, does it mean we still need to disable all RT to not crash?
That single line is not encouraging really.

Before patch I was around 50-60 fps in the base. An running there it was around 40. After patch is 50-60 running and 70-80 walking. The CPU use is higher, so the framerate has increased.
I don't use raytracing, personally on most games I think it's closer to snake oil, there isn't much difference in a game like Jedi Survivor. You want a game with lots of reflections, in this comparison the only substantial difference is the one part where Cal is standing on a large puddle. Everywhere else? No difference.

Looking forward to seeing the difference between the patch vs prior version (when I get home)

For me it was almost ZERO.

I got like a 5 FPS boost - 5 FPS... pathetic for a 5.5 GB patch.

In this game the lighting is noticably a ton better with RT on. I can even tell that and I normally never use RT. That video does not use good locations for their testing.

I was able to download it and patch it with no issues. What are you running into

Rest of the patch is probably DLC you gotta pay for... wouldn't surprise me with EA.

Joking aside, i hope he's able to finish installing it.

The patch will download, but that is just the download. You then have to wait for all the prepatch files to be replaced with postpatch files which takes a lot longer on a game that's 129GB.

I am getting much better performance right now. I am currently at a point in the game where I am inside a structure on Koboh so I can't speak to the open area performance. Last night in the part of the game I am in I was getting probably 55 average with the mod "May the performance be with you" installed. Now I am getting 60-75 consistently. Mod is still installed. I have no RT on but everything else is epic settings and I have the FOV set to widest. It feels way better.
