crashing to desktop or crashing the whole system? If the first case, your gpu may have an unstable overclock/underclock/zne. If you're blue screening it may be a hardware fault, most likely regarding your ram. Crashes that reboot your system are hardware issues 95% of the time.

I am having issues not just in this game but other games in the last week where my system instantly turns off due to a power issue. It's very likely a PSU issue for me. My current PSU is a Corsair 850w but it's 10 years old.

Ensure it's nothing trival like your temperatures.

Hope you get sorted, I know how frustrating it can be.

There is certainly a possibility that the game might be pushing your GPU past what your PSU is capable of.

A PSU is the most probable cause for hard PC reboots.

yeah i was thinking PSU,
I am looking in event viewer, i got a couple errors.
fatal one is karnel
normal errors DCOM
i think it is hardware not sure its GPU or PSU. i think its the PSU being under powered. but i head 750w was okay for a 3080, but its the min

this is what i was thinking, I might put the setting on medium to test it, and try and get a 850w need week.

mostly bc we play loads of games, around here, and its only the newer games that black screen reboot. this re4 R, and i think dead space did the same.

Power supplies also age over-time & manage less than what they were originally capable of.

Personally, I would have went for 850w at least for that 3080. But when I used a 2080 Ti & 3080 Ti, I actually opted for 1000w min.

It is better to invest in a psu with more wattage than required, than one with barely enough for your rig.

worse case is my GPU, but i am praying its just my potentiality under-powered 750w psu.

I agree with what you said, when i built my pc like 15 month ago. i had a 1080ti with my 750w. and i read that 750w was okay, but i am starting to doubt it.

Like I said, the PSU is the most probable cause. I know the culprit of this issue far too well.

This game is one of those rare games where for some reason they have fps completely unlocked in the intro so you get ridiculous fps values (2k+ in my case) which can be an issue if your gpu has minor hardware flaws that otherwise wouldnt cause a problem.
Or I guess cause powerspikes a bit higher then normal?

New World had this problem too.

Also as a side note, super high fps tends to cause coilwhine, so even when it doesnt cause a problem it can still be annoying.
