Very curious what this game will be. I watched a bit of a preview but didn't want to ruin it and turned it off after they started showing too much. It sure has enough data to pack a punch.

Be warned for first day players. They tend to like to patch and make you download the whole thing again. Going to be one of those months for me where comcast is whining about my data usage.

It's horribly compressed and terribly optimized which is MUCH more likely to be the case given everything we have seen about performance...

FYI the xbox version is around 45GB

Particularly with things like 4k textures, and the answer is yes...

depending on the compression you don't lose out on much if at all in the final result.

I imagine the logic is it doesn't support direct storage and they want the game to stream data as effectively as the PS5. So they opted to not compress the files.

That would make sense, particularly given all the information we have about the PC release and it's awful performance on top of the line systems...

They probably needed it to remain uncompressed or all the performance issues we are hearing about would be even worse...

So yes the answer is likely poorly optimized and not compressed. Which is why the game is so huge when the Xbox version is only 45GB
