meanwhile dude playing max settings with raytracing on w/ no fsr or dlss. You gotta cut out the raytracing at minimum if you don't/can't use dlss. I imagine its at least double the framerate without raytracing on and with FSR. May have to turn atmospheric fog down to medium or low, and probably get you even more of a fps boost.

There is no DLSS support for this title nor XeSS. FSR 2 is supported though.

yup 60 is fine and he isn't even using FSR. it'll be 80ish with fsr and probably 100 with some settings turned down,

He also states in the video he tested with a 3080 at 1440p all low settings and still had drops to as low as 20 FPS.

We will see though. I hope for the best.

Also a 4090 not being able to even go above 60 FPS with all the RT off is pretty bad. It's a nice looking game but give me a break.

He also states in the video he tested with a 3080 at 1440p all low settings and still had drops to as low as 20 FPS.

yeah it'll be different at launch, people dont think the day one patch can do much but that is wrong. It's possible it can have a big impact, its also possible it does jack all.

The graphics don't look good enough for 60 to be fine on a 4090.

I hope the former proves to be true but I have very very little faith the day 1 patch will make much difference. The devs already tweeted they will still be working on performance for "weeks" after release.

it might even utilize the gpu usage more at 4K and give you similar results, we don't know yet.

The low GPU usage at 1440p while a 4090 is struggling to keep 40+ FPS still needs to be fixed. That's not how things are supposed to work lol.

also I noticed from the screenshot that the gpu usage is way too low, that either means 2 things, he has a cpu bottleneck or he has vsync on. his 5900X is nice but it doesn't have extra cache like the 3D series ryzens, which may or may not give you even better fps since there is a cpu bottleneck
