Ubisoft VS EA & Respawn

That right folks, if JEDI survivor fails so does EA's hopes of holding onto the SW franchise. We know the type of open world UBISOFT can give us after years of the assasins creed system. BUT I hope JEDI Survivor does AMAZING. Because if they do BOTH EA & Ubisoft will be locked into a constant SW battle, with each company trying to do better than its competitor... and as a result we get better games... kinda like the PS5 VS XBOX exclusives... thoughts?

Ubisoft has recently canceled 3 games. There is a chance that Star Wars open world game might be one of them.(Since Ubisoft doesn't own the Star Wars ip and that game has less priority and makes less money for them I think.)

EA is also making a shooter Star Wars game from what I've heard.

I have faith in Respawn. They are one of the few AAA developers that pride themselves on having actual gameplay as the most important pillar in game development rather then just trying to make a purely 'cinematic' experience with a ton of hand holding.

Also they have done this without resorting to making a bland 100+ hour massive open world with a million question marks on the map and fetch quest side content you will instantly forget the second you finish them.

Time will tell but behind the scenes they seem like a passionate team wanting to create the best game they can. Hopefully they can now take the foundational work from Fallen Order and flesh it out some more.

I was a big fan of Jedi Knight 1 and 2 as a kid and these games feel like a spiritual successor to them in a way, so I couldn't be happier that they are being made by a team who wants to give the paying customer what they want.
