Wow. I really wanted to give this game a chance, even though I didn't really like the first.
I have a 4080 super, 5800X3D, 80 gigs of memory. Absolutely more than enough.

The game DOES feel and play a lot better than the first, but good lord dude after like a half hour it went from solid performance to CHUGGING even with frame gen and DLSS enabled, then it had this weird jittery/blurry effect going on, which disappeared when I turned frame gen off... only to be left with 40-60 fps fluctuating heavily... in the beginning area.

Then it crashed and I lost about 20 mins of progress due to having to alt f4 from the frozen crash screen.

It does seem fun and I bet I would have enjoyed it if it worked properly for me but I cannot justify a game purchase with technical issues THIS bad.

Do better, no wonder this is on such a steep discount. Buyer beware.

Despite Patch 9, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor remains plagued by persistent stuttering issues.

Running on high-end hardware (AMD 7950X3D + RTX 4090) with DLSS and Frame Generation enabled, the game achieves a respectable 120-170 FPS, yet frequent, unpredictable stutters ruin the experience. These hitches occur everywhere: open areas, towns, and even mid-combat, making gameplay jarring and frustrating.

It’s disappointing that Respawn/EA hasn’t resolved this, especially since the last patch (September 2024) failed to address the core problem. While mods provide minor relief, they can’t fully compensate for the developer’s shortcomings.

The game’s strengths, story, combat, and mechanics, are overshadowed by these technical flaws. Until a proper fix arrives, I can’t recommend it in its current state.
