Never Going to be a Warhorse Customer Again
It's one thing to add DEI, but it is another to do it in the way you have done it here. Turning Henry and Hans gay is so much worse than just adding in unnecessary representation. It calls everything about their relationship from KCD1 into question.

However, worst of all you have clearly tried to deceive your customer base. You added this crap in, but for some reason every shot in the promotional material is of Henry flirting with women. If you think that this relationship is something that improves the quality of the game, why hide it away? Put it on the front of your advertising if it is such a great addition. Let everyone know what they are buying in case they were mislead by your advertising choices that pointed away from this ideology. Choices such as taking shots at the recent Dragon Age which was killed under the weight of the LGBT alphabet. Choices such as calling those who discussed the issue before launch liars for pointing out Saudia Arabia's remarks on it.

Usually when I see games add in DEI I just lose interest and feel apathetic. However, this incident has gotten me riled up because I feel you have intentionally tried to mislead me. This studio is dead to me. I've refunded my premium edition preorder, and I won't be buying another game from you. Not next year or twenty years from now.

I hope others will remember this breach of trust as we go further into a crowded game market packed with more products than anyone could ever want by rising numbers of indie devs, foreign markets turning out higher quality products than ever before, the best development tools being available to anyone with a computer, and generative AI offering promises of huge quality increases to lower budget titles.

Henry and Hans aren't gay) If you romance them - there's more chances that you are gay)

I really do not like Wokeness.
But this game isn't woke at all.
Being gay is a real thing, even in the year 1400.
This is a RPG, getting this option is totally normal.

Getting rid of all these stupid treads is a good idea.
A few trolls are making to much of them just to troll.

There is WOKE in games, then there is idiots like the OP who are farming for trophies on Steam forums. Character creation based on sex, sexual OPTIONs in dialog in games are not woke, that ♥♥♥♥ has been in games for 20+ years.
There shouldn't be woke in games, except in games clearly labelled as woke.

How hard is it exactly to leave non-woke games alone?

Because it's an option not the default! How is that so hard for people.

rubbish. its worse than 'just an option'. The entire game has been hijacked by a gay lobby and Daniel Vavra has caved to them. All the way through once you realise this, you cannot unsee the little subtle flourishes and innuendo that we are supposed not notice as a hetero gaming community.

I suspect it is has gone this way because the first game was so demonstrably hetero and borderline anti-gay. Daniel realised he went too far and had to backtrack. It's a fair point - the first game was borderline unacceptable pushing several gay tropes that I didnt feel comfortable with. However the remedy to that is not to completely reverse the main characters and make them gay when that was neither plausible based on the first story, nor appreciated by the predominantly hetero fan base.

'just ignore it is a gay romp and pretend otherwise'. We are not stupid we can see what has happened to the game. Congratulation to the gay community - you won. It's your game now, at least we can still enjoy and remember the original.

Someone picked the gay options and the penny dropped.....

No, but if it is a good thing, then it would surely sell to more people if they let everyone know it was in the game before they bought it. People would surely play past the 2 hour refund window looking forward to seeing it if they knew it was ahead right? It is just so curious that they are practically hiding it... almost like they threw it in a closet or something. I wonder why.
This game have a lot of good things which not even mention, you just don;t play and don't understand how agenda looks and most funnier thing you think you understand game characters beter than screenwriter

I don't want it as an option.
Why? Because you can't resist choosing it and it makes your loins tingle?

its not about whether there should be balanced depictions of sexuality in an RPG game. It's about completely reversing the main characters in a way that means the predominantly hetero fan base cannot identify with them anymore.

The way you're talking it's like you're basically admitting that you yourself are gay. Because after all you always have the option to do gay things.. so having the option is being the thing now?

Admit it! You just couldn't help yourself and had to try out the option and now you feel weird because you enjoyed it a little bit!

Hopefully next time we'll get the option not getting gay sex options before the game runs.

Grief. Really need a bulk Bigot Block option.

Entire threads just vanishing into reams of <Blocked user> lists at the click of a handy button.

So much seethe over so much intolerance and ignorance.

I have a theory and that is that most of the claims on this game and DEI are fake, created by the activists themselves to mess with this game after their other "inclusive" titles got ruined.

After all, who has all the time of day to post many many threads repeatingly?

Through pattern recognition, the twitter activists are a vengeful bunch, they'll keep doing what they do no matter the results or being deplatformed.
Your theory is ass.

It's right in front of us, I'm sorry you're too blind to see it. Go back.

i only played the intro 100 minutes, but here are the examples that turned me off the game

1) the conversation around the campfire at the start is a gay persons imaging of a hetero conversation about women, not a realistic one. I found it pervy and creepy.
2) the whole naked swimming with hans at the start - in retrospect this is a gay fantasy playing out.
3) hans and henry 'being there for each other' through the nightmare and escaping 'together'.
4) why does henry suddenly have his top off and a big package in the inventory screen? Gay artwork that wasn;t emphasised in the original.

can go on and on. I may not have noticed but it is completely confirmed this is all a lead up to the big reveal - the gay romance between hans and henry at the end.
