Good job developers, why would I play something like this.

Just a simple reason why you blew it, you violated the integrity of the game to please people who were not part of the core audience.

Games are a chain of art, and you violated this chain. It means your game sucks.

Also it makes you lose the common perspective of what you are making, which is obviously shown in the game.
You had the talent and possibly and were gifted one of the few rare times you share a cohesive idea amongst all employees. Which rarely happens.

And now it turned out like this. So yeah, KCD 1 was great for this reason. It was clunky and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Now you made KCD 2, and you lost the part that made the first game successful, but provided higher quality but without the fundamentals.

Doesn't look like they blew it to me. Sales are amazing, the game is amazing, the RPG experience is amazing, everything is optional and not forced. The game is well optimized.
