Once your copy is verified, you can play offline for a little while. I think it's two weeks before you need to go online again, but I'm not sure.
OP mentioned it.
It has always been 2 weeks, 5 hardware changes, or patched executable == re-activate
Also, "implementation of Denuvo" is nonsense. The actual problem is the DRM underneath Denuvo. Games don't "implement" Denuvo, they just hide custom DRM code underneath it.
Sadly, when Denuvo is removed from games, often that crappy DRM code actually stays there (i.e. CAPCOM). Cracked versions of those games had to not only bypass Denuvo, but remove the DRM, so they have some advantages in many cases.
