I was mistaken about denuvo.
People corrected me on discord and told me that denuvo games can be played without WiFi. I mixed up denuvo with an absolutely awful DRM that DJ max respect v has. I’m sorry if I confused anybody.

For anyone else who doesn't know, denuvo does not require a consistent connection, it only needs to occasionally check online with its servers.

Once your copy is verified, you can play offline for a little while. I think it's two weeks before you need to go online again, but I'm not sure.

sound like ♥♥♥♥ . we keep supporting this , 2 weeks will become 1 weeks , few seconds of loading time will be a minute extra , minor stuttering will be slide show .

djmax respect V has chosen to always require internet connection to play it. Can't play on the steam deck on the go.

Unrelated, as DJmax doesn't use Denuvo but XIGNCODE3 .

Denuvo has never been always-online.

It has always been 2 weeks, 5 hardware changes, or patched executable == re-activate

Also, "implementation of Denuvo" is nonsense. The actual problem is the DRM underneath Denuvo. Games don't "implement" Denuvo, they just hide custom DRM code underneath it.

Sadly, when Denuvo is removed from games, often that crappy DRM code actually stays there (i.e. CAPCOM). Cracked versions of those games had to not only bypass Denuvo, but remove the DRM, so they have some advantages in many cases.
