Line Gun, or Contact Beam?
Well, I'm at Chapter 4, and just unlocked the Contact Beam. So, of course, I took to the web to see what people thought about it. So, I found one guy who said the Contact Beam is basically a "gravity shotgun", which is kind of what I already use the Line Gun for (Powerful weapon, useful at close ranges), minus the gravity part, of course. So, should I sell the Line Gun for the Contact Beam, keep the Line Gun, or are the diffrent enough that I should just have both?
Oh, and if I sell the Line Gun, will I be able to get the nodes I put in it back?

If you sell a weapon, you lose everything that was put in it. That means the power nodes. As for which is better; stay with the Line Gun. Contact Beam is stong, but it's a rather expensive gun. Plus it has a charge up time, so using it up close might not work. So, keep the Line Gun. Don't sell it unless you already did.

I already went ahead and decided to purchase the Contact Beam, while keeping the Line Gun.
The Contact Beam IS strong if aimed well and charged (I don't think it takes to long to charge it fully, but you're right, it dosen't work well in close quarters), I don't think it was very expensive (For me, at least), but for some reason, I believe that it's a bit harder to aim than the other guns, as sometimes, when I fire it at a monster's waist or leg, the beam passes beneath the monster's crotch, when I thought I had it aimed at it the leg or waist. It is good though.
How about the Force Gun? Is that any good? I just found the schematic for that.
Also, I can't buy it because I already have 4 weapons now. (Plasma Cutter, Line Gun, Ripper, and Contact Beam)
Should I put one in storage and grab the Force Gun?

Force Gun was one of my favorites. If you haven't bought it already, you should. The only problem with the Force Gun; it's somewhat weak, but seems to have one of the largest ammo counts. It's the game's shotgun. As for the Contact Beam missing the enemies; the Contact Beam is the game's rifle/rocket launcher. If you're thinking of switching a gun, switch Contact Beam. The price of ammo for CB is somewhat high. Better to sell it imo.

Oh yeah, The Ripper... forgot about that one. It's the beast, I'd choose it over the Force Gun anyday. It's also the best weapon for DS2's Hardcore mode. Very handy tool indeed.

I don't know, I've kind of gotten used to the Contact Beam now, and I seldom miss a shot with it now that I'm used to it. I also actually find alot of ammo for all of my weapons (Okay, mabye 1 Contact Energy per Contact Energy find isn't too much, but for how I use the Contact Beam, it's enough). I also watched some Force Gun gameplay on Youtube, and it looks all right, but I think I'll stick with what I've got.

I use both but am a big fan of the line gun. Even early on you can put an enemy in stasis, lay a mine at their feet and walk away without having to take another shot. Sure, you ended up using two resources but for me there's a no more satisfying way of saying F-you to a necromorph haha.
