Does anyone play this game with this terrible mouse sensitivity?
It's bearable..but does anyone else?

Me too, I don#t have any idea :(
"Personal preference" and all, but I wouldn't even come close to calling it bearable. The only time I used mouse aim was during the meteorite portion. I vaguely recall playing this game with a mouse a couple years ago and I hated it.

I don't really have any trouble playing but yeah, it's not the best port in the world so you will encounter some issues. Nothing game breaking though.

I always thought the point of the crappy mouse accuracy was to make the game more hectic and clausterphobic. The game would become trivial if I could quickly and reliably aim.

Think about it. If we could aim at all well in Dead Space, then as player skill, hand-eye-coordination, and reaction time increase, weapons other than the pulse rifle or contact beam become increasingly useless. The only reason I have ANY weapon in my inventory than the pulse rifle is because Isaac has exceptionally poor dexterity and coordination.
It wasn't a design decision, they just applied the analog control stick's dead space (hurr hurr) to the mouse. If there's a reason for this other than laziness or lack of awareness, it's unknowable to man.

You should turn off vsync in game then force it on from Nvidia control panel (or Ati if you use that)

Yup, this worked for me.

Mouse controls are a lot better afterwards. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this problem.

No keyboard remapping...wtf is that?? Now I have to use a hex editor and only have use of the numpad arrow keys? BS.

The mouse sensitivity was a game design, it was made so the player could feel a little more 'helpless'. It's not a flaw from a console port, the consoles has it too.

well i found a crazy way i went to my nvidia options and i maked only for dead space exe from c/programfilesx86/steam/steamapps/common/deadspace and i turned on or forced on vsync and force on the triple buffering but in the game the vsync is off and the sensitivity is full right its crazy when u aim its little better and u need to move mouse fast but wothout aiming try slowly turning because its too much sensitive lol but try it u dont have to loose anything but to do this ur pc or laptop can play this game well because too much heat can create-make problems to ur graphic card prossescor and general ur computer at the 1st 30mins i changed a couple of trousers to learn the mouse and u know ds 1 its little more scary than ds2 and ds 3 ..i hope that i helped some or most of u ...good luck

Me too, same thing, very disappointing, there's no way to fix it. if you turn off the vsync the mouse is no delay, but it is slow. if you turn on vsync the mouse is fast, but is delayed.
Better configure the nvidia or amd settings box to force adaptive vsync and triple buffering, so far is the best solution.
I had turned Vsync of and it worked ;D
