I had always thought they were when I first started playing the original "Doom"
but at the same time, Unitology (like the actual Scientology) is indeed a cult, and since they worship their twisted versions of God, it does have some similarities to satanic worshipping
You know, I never understood the whole christian "anti-demons in games!" bent. In 99% of games that feature any type of demonic being, the player is actively fighting AGAINST said demons, attempting to rid the world of the blight demon's have cast.
In the case of Dead Space, no, they're not demons, they are aliens ALA "John Carpenters: The Thing" The Necromorphs certernly can evoke a demonic feel to them in their disjointed apperances, and dessecration of dead body's, but it's simply an Alien orginisim.
But if the reasoning behind your questioning is religious to begin with OP... give Dead Space a skip, after all, Aliens cannot be saved, Christianity has said as much. *rolls eyes as the idiocy of religion.*
Second, you can take your religious hatred somewhere else. I will NOT stand for it.
Third, I own the game now, yes I know they're not demons nor are there demonic aspects of the game.
I don't care if you don't like religion. Don't talk to someone who is religious about how much YOU hate religion for no reason. Because you really don't have any reasons.
Meh, nothing really bad about it I guess. Relgion will never be in a good light, no matter what people follow, when discussed on the net. Sadly you can't discuss an archaic belief on one of mankinds most technologically advanced fronts for comunication.
