Waste ammo is your thing, after you learning in many other survival games, you need to hold your ammo and vital stuff by shooting less,Dead Space becomes the easiest survival game ever.
Power Nodes you mean right?
The thing is I did read some tips (not walkthroughs) before getting to play for the first time, as result I was "too prepared" for my first play.
Having some experience from other games of the genre helps immensively too, I should have started on Hard.
It's also technically possible to complete many games without taking damage.
I've tried to play the game many times in harder difficulty modes along the years, and this bug *ALWAYS* showed its ugly face.
So yeah, I bet you were all playing the game in *normal* mode after a couple of loads and failed to notice it (the game will tell you the difficulty on the save slot details, so the bug can be confirmed).
