Chapter 8, stuck on tram

I fixed the communications array and took the journey back on the tram thing to get to the cannon, but now I can't actually leave the tram to progress further. The safety bars are up but they are still blocking me from exiting.

Scroll down to around the middle and they talk about the tram glitch in chapter 8. Sounds like its save game/save station related. Unfortunately I do not remember what they mean by spin cycle but I am currently in another playthrough of the game, hopefully when I get there I can have more info to help.

Please for the love of god, Any fix? i am really loving this game and i dont want it to end abruptly by a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ softlock!
