Force VSync from your GPU control panel.

The thing is, I'm here asking this because i've already done that and still get screen tearing.
Forced vsync in nvidia control panel, turned off in-game and also limited the fps to 60 in the control panel, but still keeps tearing

Do your settings actually work? Does Steams in-game fps counter actually show 60 fps?

Yes. If i cap it at 60, the fps counter stays at 60

And if you don't cap it to 60? What is your screen's refresh rate? V-sync should sync to that.

Are you using full screen or windowed mode?
Try setting full screen mode if this is not already the case. This might fix your problem.

60 refresh rate. I'm playing on a gaming laptop. If i don't cap it, its goes to 300-400 fps. I'm already playing at fullscreen, that's why I don't get it.

Are you sure, that the video option in Dead Space is specifically set to "Full Screen". Even if it is set to "Windowed" i think it looks like full screen, even if it isn't.

So I would suggest doublechecking these settings:

In Dead Space:
- Vsnc off
-Fullscreen mode

In NVIDIA graphics panel:
- No framerate limit
- Vsync on
- everything else in factory settings

These are my settings and it works nicely.

Otherwise I am out if ideas, sorry.

The vsync in-game and the fullscreen are already correct and the nvidia control panel vsync is also on already. I'll try not limiting the framerate. Thanks anyway.

Last ideas:
Make sure, that the resolution of the game is set to your laptops native resolution.
NVidia has several modes for vsync. The default one usually is the best one but I have had games in the past, where actually one of the other settings (like fast vsync) produced better results (like lower processor load). So you might want to experiment with thos.

Whats your laptop model? Is it single GPU or dual with switchable graphics?

Another idea: Try to use Dead Spaces VSync. I mean, 30fps sucks but at least maybe there is no screen tearing this way?

Does your monitor support higher refresh rates? I play at 75Hz with no problems. Others have claimed much higher refresh rates with no problems. At the very least it could be worth testing.

You might also try things like capping rather than vsync, or capping with vsync (shouldn't achieve much but you never know), or maybe running 120Hz with vsync 2-blank (half rate).

Also, half of this conversation would have been resolved before it happened if you'd have given even the most brief description of your situation. People are making an effort to help and you've already tried all their suggestions, but how would they know that you're wasting their time when all the effort you can be bothered to muster is "how fix".
