"After completing Dead Space for the first time you are rewarded with these items: Military Suit, Backstory Logs, 50,000 Credits, 10 Power Nodes, and Impossible Mode. These Credits and Power Nodes make it easier the second time around for that save file, and allow you to better focus on getting achievements and upgrading everything."

Dead Space 2 and 3 has that NG+. So original 1 NG+ is more like fake NG+.
Everything still carries over.
Weapons not carries over.
Will they do? Maybe they carries, I don't remember. NG+ in original not gives anything new. Dead Space 2 NG+ is better.
And Dead Space 3 you cannot get game full 100 % completed, because some collectibles are behind co-op missions.
Here's a tip: When searching for information about the original game, just add "-remake" in the search engine to filter out any results mentioning the word "remake", so for example "Dead Space new game plus -remake".
