Stuck on Chapter 7: Mining Floor

On the Mining Floor of Chapter Seven (May of been 6, Don't remember), Where you have to place the SOS Beacon on the asteriod, I ran into a Problem. The moment I fly to the Rock, I don't have enough time to place the Beacon and Fly back, I Just get my Torso disconnected for my Legs.

I've tried using the "Slow down Time on a Object" Thing, But it doesn't do anything.

If you know how to Solve this Problem, Please comment.

There are some pulley-looking things spinning rapidly. Try slowing them down, you should see some glowing stuff inside. Try shooting it.
I was also stuck for a bit in that room until I figured it out, lol

i did shoot the two stabilizers but i still get killed by the rings....he still places the beacon too slow for me to get away......am very frustrated

i just on 3 now but, that part you need to destroy the spining things inside, look for a clear when they stop jump go to outside place the beacon and destroy the remaining 2 spining things that are outside the ship

You are doing it wrong dude. You need to jump on the asteroid, then quickly run to the other side of it (the bit sticking outside)..remember it is round like a ball, if you try and place the beacon on the "inside" part you wont have enough time. Find a spot where the two huge swinging arms converge and you are close to the outside of the asteroid, then wait for them (the huge arms) to return to converge spot, jump on the asteroid and run towards the outside of the ship...you also have the final two gravity tethers you must destroy outside there.

I know this is old, but thanks Wasabi (if you're still around).
I already sold ammo to buy nodes and upgrade my stasis generator upstairs, but still didn't have enough time to avoid getting dismembered, so came to ask if the game really expected me to sell the majority of my inventory to max it out and give me enough time.

I'm still dying though. I haven't yet managed to guess my orientation and run in the correct direction after four times. Guess I'll keep repeating until I randomly succeed.

You can do it even without having any nodes invested into stasis, granted it took me a few times but it's possible. Just get close to the asteroid itself before you jump and aim as close to the outside as you can.

Also when you are outside, you can regain Oxygen as often as you want -

While on top the asteroid, you can carefully edge your way to the inside. You can get close to the swinging arms without them hitting you, and regain full O2.

With full O2 you can back out again / wait for the window of opportunity to jump back inside. Just take your time to study the motion of those pesky dismembering arms so you can time the jump right with an opening.
