Disabling Vsync should uncap the framerate, but it causes its own bugs. Use an external program to cap the framerate to your monitor refresh raste manually.

All three Dead Space games buuilt-in Vsync lock the framerate to 30 fps. Dead Space 1 otherwise has it's own issue if you turn-off Vsync: if the framerate go above 60 fps mouse controls we're messed. I usually use Adaptive Vsync on Nvidia conrol panel. If I correct radeon cards have similar function.

Can somebody help me with putting vsync on this game? I am AMD gpu user and my AMD Radeon Software for some reason doesn't force vsync, like i turn it on in the options but it doesn't do anything. Enhanced Sync works, on the other hand, which is NOT vsync so while it does affect games, i can't use vsync.

Also, D3d Overrider that I used before on my Windows 7 now doesn't work in DS games because apparently this software doesn't function on W10 so I can't force vsync either way

Can anybody please help me?

To fix the screen tearing, turn on the window mode, install FPSC and set the Windowed mode relocation in its settings, you can also limit FPS there and there are many graphic improvers, for example SSAO. In order for FPSC to work together with Mouse Fix, after installing FPSC, you need to rename its library dinput8.dll in dinput8_remote.dll (it is located in the folder with the exe of the game), and then install Mouse Fix.

Just a one solution is to run game with Proton (...needs a Linux distro.)
V-sync works flawlessly. Just set any hz from monitor/OS and v-sync is locked.

Valve is pushing Proton even further with Steam Deck so this is totally working solution.
Not for everyone but perhaps the last working one if patching Windows is not working.

There are now many options to run/play games. Even outside Windows.
