Most of the glitches that might happen in this game are related to the framerate going too high, check if it's going above 60 fps

That is nothing... I am near the end of the game and I have encountered at least 20 different bugs and glitches, 4 which were game breaking 2 which even altered the save slot so careful not to save in few slots and also my character randomly died a lot and the game crashed for me a least 6 times. In the last chapter it's just riddled with bugs it's incredible... I randomly died around 10 times and the game crashed once in the last chapter. I literally just took a break right now and was looking around the forums for answers to these bugs but I at least 30mins away to finishing this game... it's not even that bad of a game but all these bugs and crashes are making it so hard for me to like the game as much as I would like to.

Follow advices from this guy to fix it all. He encounters same bugs and fixes them by downloading fix and turning off v sync.

So I downloaded the mouse fix file and that helped, but I'm still running into the frame rate issue. My frames are still going above 500 and I tried to force through the control panel but no dice.

Manually lock the framerate to 60 then. You can do it with nvidia Inspector if you have a nvidia card, RadeonPro if you have AMD, or RivaTuner that you can use with both

You didnt watch relevant part thant.
1. Disable v-sync in the game
2. Force V-sync in Nvidia panel on your PC.
That will cap framerate but without bugs from in game v-sync,

He did say he tried to force v-sync via the gpu control panel though... just saying, there have been some cases where people couldn't get their v-sync to lock the framerate no matter what with this game, and I think one time even trying to lock it to 60 fps with other software wouldn't work, iirc.

i did manage to fix it. thx for the help

Well this is one of the biggest problems with old games. they had no FPS lock. You can have 1000 fps in something like FEAR which will fry your GPU for no reason. It just forces it to work at 100% with no limit.
Sadly the only solution is V-sync. 99% of devs are lazy and they put forced 60fps lock into V-sync. In reality ALL games shouls have separate setting for FPS and v-sync.

v-sync is not the only solution (thankfully, since it usually introduces a lot of input lag, especially with mouse movement) like I said, you can lock the framerate with other software without even touching v-sync

I meant only in game fis for older games without any external instruments. Obvisouly you cap rape games with all kind of programms to force windowed modes, fps locks, AA and etc.

i dropped that dinput8.dll file from pcgamingwiki in the install folder and it fixed the mouse issues. there were still body parts flying around and other stuff constantly knocking into walls making all kinds of noise.
in-game vsync was disabled already as it caused terrible input lag
went to nvidia control panel and forced frame cap to 60 (instead of forcing vsync from nvidia)
game is now playable :D
