EA shuts down Visceral Games - RIP future of Dead Space-games

"EA is shutting down Visceral Games, the studio behind games like Battlefield Hardline and Dead Space, the publisher said today. The Star Wars game in development at Visceral will be revamped and move to a different studio, EA says, although it will now be something completely different."

Dead Space, Dead Space 2 and even Dead Space 3 were good games. Really sad news for all fans :(

I can't see a DS4 happening at any point in the future with just EA, seeing those brotherhood moons heading to Earth, wondering how Clarke, Carver and Langford are going to stop them from destroying everything. In the end of Ds3 you saw what it took to take one of those monsters down and the DLC with the aftermath when one of those moons crashed on Tau Volantis!

I was always hoping to have an ending to this storyline. I was hoping Visceral would of made a case to EA to finish the storyline off and putting it to rest. But EA is being EA.

This makes me rather sad. Didn't EA shut down Maxis at one point too? EA is a crap company, RIP Visceral.

I love Dead Space and Dead Space 2. It's a pity Visceral is getting shut down by EA. I guess no more good horror games coming out of EA stable anymore.

I 2nd this. Even though it wasn't as scary it was still a fun game to play and it also had a good story to it.

Horror does not matter to me. The game had content, customization and you could play the whole story CO-OP. CO-OP even had custom animations for certain cutscenes.

Same here. I never got someone to do coop with me so i've only seen isaacs version of events and i've also never played the coop missions.
