why buy the game? is it worth $20?

I'm in the same boat as you, I think it does look really cool and would be fun to play. But it's £29.99 in the UK steam store, and i can justify spending that on a game that came out in 2008

In 2008 I bought the game at realese for $50 and it was really fun, I bought the game for my new computer about a week ago and its still fun. There was a problem when I first bought it on steam but there is a forum that has a download to fix it. But its still a really fun game and the DLC are amazing.

It's currently something like £5.99 on Origin. I know that doesn't help if you like everything on Steam, but hey, it's cheaper.

3€ for me on Origin and this lead me to get it..first game on origin...and now got also Kingdoms of Amalur and Battlefield 2....seems getting games published by EA are better on Origin better price(Spore Origin:10€ Steam:30€,KoA O:10€ S:27€,you get the point) + no error when launched the game from origin.

Do not buy Spore off Steam. You can't use Online and have to struggle valiently to even get it working.
