buy it on EA. it's on sale right now for $1.99. i know it's probably not the best answer, but it's probably the only way you will get to login correctly since they blocked steam CD-Key generation.

it's still cheaper to buy the Spore+DLC pack on steam and base game on EA for ~$10 than on EA for ~$15

you only need to buy the base game. you can play vanilla and the DLC online without any problems.

If you bought the game on Steam you can contact us en EA help and if you fallow correctly our instructions we will grant you the game+dlc on your EA acc, keep in mind Spore dosnt have multiplayer anymore so even if you have the game on your EA acc you wont be able to play it online

Downloaded spore from steam-> Started the game-> Logged in to the sporeserver without any trouble-> Spore online still exists.
