Spore
Tribal stage.
Anyone else just hate tribal stage? It really boring and kinda hard¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You have to feed all your guys, make sure animals don't steal your food and half the time my shaman dies in the middle of a fight and I have to retreat. Then when I go back all their stuff is at max hp and they have 10x more guys then I do. Civilisation stage is great fun but whenever I play spore and reach tribal stage I just delete the planet then load my creature save on a new save starting at civilisation stage.

It's definitely the most boring stage, but I don't hate it. I mean, it's fun you know. You get to control your dudes in RTS style combat. The simple life. I kinda dislike the civ stage more than the tribal stage. But that's just personal preference.

EDIT: Grammar

well.
I don't really like the tribal stage mainly because it just feels like a tedius troll by the devs. You got bearly any food left then those little reaider brats come over and steal your food, if you somehow manage to kill them through there constanty instant healing from all of your food, then congrats you dont have anything left.

Not to mention that if you try to raid others food, you constantly stop everytime you take damage, and do you insta heal? No.

Another thing thats annoying, your tribe dies and you forgot to save. :steamsalty:

But hey, atleast the Civilization and the Space stages are a lot better. :)

EDIT: The rant to end all rants.

I just got to civ stage. (And by that I mean I got to tribal stage, deleted my planet and loaded my creature on a civ world) and its pretty fun. One thing I don't like is how if the city I take control of is economic then I have to choose between economic and religious. If i'm religous then when I take a city it should just turn religous

Zell stage 8/10 points | kreature stage 8/10 | Tribal stage 4/10 | Civil stage 8/10 | Space stage 7/10

you should play friendly style tribal stage until you can manage it, its the aggressive part that is hard when you also find collecting food hard. also you NEED to have all members available, both for music performance and fighting or you fail to impress/defeat the other tribe

if you choose to make allies they also start delivering food to you as gifts, so food becomes an even lesser problem. also if you still choose aggressive, you should not try to pressure the other tribe(s) through several attacks, it has to be one big attack. if it fails, repopulate to full before going again or you will waste time and resources. take out all their members before going for the big hut (dont bother with the other buildings), if all their members are dead they can only spawn children, kill them with those members unable to reach the big hut, theres only a certain amount that can surround it with torches and stone axes. its best to keep the shaman at home all time, he can deal with wild animal thieves

from my own experience, the throwing spears are not great, only if the other tribe is nearly defeated you can bring one or two for some ranged attack. but you will need stone axes for killing tribe members and torches for their hut. one tactic i use is split up the group between those 2 weapons, few more axes than torches, send the axemen in to beat the tribe members, and the torches to attack the hut. keep the axemen around to protect the torch bearers while they pretty much defeat them by destroying their hut in one assault

edit: you always need to make sure you have at least 10 food before going on a fight. if you have the "traps" ability as shaman, make him go just outside your tribe where you see animals, and set the trap. you will see him place an object with lots of food on it, the nearest animals will go over to it, stand a few seconds and look at it then get gassed with poison and you can collect their meat. this will only work as a carnivore of course. if you are herbivore or need more food sources, you can pick the green friendly button below, and tame a wild animal with a tribe member. they will bring it back behind your hut where it will lay eggs now and then for you to take as a food source

if your attacks fail, spawn the tribe member from the last food you have, get him to collect food, and while you build your population up again, use all the members available to collect food until the last tribe member is adult. fishing is a stable food income for both diets (seaweed for herbivores), and herbivores have the advantage of getting food from all plants around, carnivores can be more dependent on fishing because animal hunting is not so automatic

the reason you get to choose the city specialization is if you want to change trait for a different archetype in space stage. for example if you wanted to be a zealot race, going herbivore - predator - friendly - military would not be possible if you could not change from religious civ to military civ

nah its easy. just attack the crap out of everyone and when someone dies of hunger, just get a new baby. Simple!

forgot to mention, if you stick around in your tribe collecting food, but with weapons ready, if another tribe attacks, you can defeat them all then launch an attack on them right after, before they can get their members back

I love the game but.. its getting a bit boring because u doing everytime the same things, kinda. Me and my friend hope that in Spore it will be a multiplayer mode. That would be awesome!
Like u can have both diffrend creatures and play with, or agains another(in the same world), in a race who gets first to the space part.

1 thing i like about the tribal stage is that if you have a theme selected almost all the creatures and tribes will be from that theme (which doesn't happen in creature stage for some reason.) but other than that yeah, its kinda just a bad rts

i see if one looked at each stage as a game itself, it wont do. but they are all mini games adding up to space stage. there's a lot of people praising cell and creature stage, i do understand why they like the creature stage because it plays out so well it cant even be considered a minigame like the rest, but cell stage is as weak as the rest when you look into each change when growing in the cell stage. same cells, spawning same areas and same challenges. most probably already figured the black eggs appearing late in cell stage are a pain (which can be eaten if you're carnivore and fast, luckily)

i had a few friends who didnt like the space stage, or never reached it, they never play the game anymore. the creature and cell stages are weak on their own, given enough time

Well, I get bored sometimes but I love it!
If any other tribe tries to get to me Im always ready, I only have 2 enemies max, I usually keep my food stock high and give presents to other tribes to keep them off my neck.
Then I thin out their numbers by attacking their farmers or fishers and after that I launch a full assault on their camp.
But still, tribal in hard mode is very hard indeed, for me it is the hardest stage!!

Oh btw if you are a herbivore you can still eat those black eggs before they hatch, try it for yourself.
