Crysis crash

I'm on the aircraft carrier fighting the large four to six legged alien. After getting wasted a few times the game crashes. Is anyone else having or had this same issue? It's happened more than a handful of times. It's even happened before I got to the big alien. But just kept saving often so I didn't have to start all over again.
If anyone knows the cause of this or has come up with a fix. I'm open to suggestions.

For me it crashes right when reaching the aircraft carrier after manouvering your plane through the canyons. Instead of loading the next level, the game simply closes. I tried mulstiple times already, no quarter :(

I have this problem too. In the aircraft instead of loading the next level, the game closes.

Me too the game crashes every 15 min : how can I play with those conditions ?

Not sure if this addresses the exact same problem, but I discovered that Crysis crashes periodically to desktop (no error message) because of the quick loading of saves. If I save and restart too often, it crashes. What I've been doing to avoid crashes is (1) quick saving less often, (2) not quick loading at all, just playing til I die and letting the game reload the last save, and (3) going into my Saves folder after closing the game and deleting all the old quick saves from previous missions. By keeping the save files lower, and not quick loading, I've been avoiding crashes to desktop.
