I just installed Crysis and Crysis Warhead. The Crysis folder only has a Bin32 folder. No Bin64. The Crysis Warhead has Bin32 and Bin64 folders. I did everything according to your instructions, but it will not even start. I deleted both the folders (Bin32 and Bin64) and started the game. Steam has updated something (about 49MB) and now both games work without error. Still thank you for your efforts. Otherwise I have Windows 7 x64 SP2 installed.
So you are running in DX10 Cyber? Does it crash for you? I had discovered I had to do the same as you described here for the Origin version of Crysis. I'd heard Warhead performed better - but it's just as bad (in DX10 mind you). I suppose it would work perfected if I wanted to play in DX9, but I can't STAND the game without DX10 anymore...
Copied folder from Warhead that was Bin64 renamed to Bin32 (Crysis.exe 64 renamed to Crysis.exe, working in Warhead) to installation directory in Crysis overwritting files in Bin32. Crysis will start, go to menu, set settings and open a new game. Movie plays then goes blank. Open console and typed
con_restricted 0 and hit enter - nothing loads just sits there
Went to link at Crytek to get patch 1.2 - could not find it anywhere at Crytek
Deleted Bin32 directory and let Steam check integrity and reinstall - still did not work
Found 1.2 Patch on File Planet, downloaded but when running it gives an error installing the package. Tried compatibility mode Win 7, XP, Vista etc. no go.
Not sure what else to try, Crysis is a dead game.
PS: Also the Link for Crytek doesn't work anymore, and there is no sign of a patch on their site. I thought I should let you know.
