The 'Dark Ale' quest is really obnoxious
The restricting of basically every combat tool you have might be a nice challenge if it wasn't so damn slow to retry. Takes too long to "drink cups of ale" and phase into the rift. Takes too long to phase out when you fail. Respawn should be at the start of the rift (not on the bed outside) and let me leave if I don't want to retry.

I don't even want to think that I'm also hamstrung because I'm a caster and don't have as much invested into stamina to swing that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cup you're stuck with.

Yeah, this was one of the missions I had to give up on.
It's not only the stamina, but the boss at the end does so so much damage it's absurd. One hit from it (blast or swing) is almost 70% of my HP (at 880+). It's way overtuned.
Where do you even get this? I'm just wondering if maybe it's technically supposed to be for much later.

Part of the deluxe pack (and preorder bonus I think).

The reason it's hard is you're given a set "weapon" regardless of your build so your abilities can't be used, your movement is slowed and you can't use items/heals. There's also a "drunk" filter on the screen. It's not bad other than the final round against a boss and the (seemingly) endlessly spawning adds. It's a massive stamina drain trying to avoid all the crap on screen and squeeze out a few weak hits. Maybe it's not as bad for melee builds but it's rough for a mage build. And it's quite ridiculous how much harder the last wave is compared to everything else.

The reason it's obnoxious is how much of a slog it is to try again and get back to that final round for another (short lived) attempt.

I have the deluxe. I just don't know where to start the thing.
Yeah I stopped trying after a few attempts at the boss. He was really tanky compared to everything else the quest has thrown at you. I should try again now but the thought is not enticing.

The innkeeper gives it to you. Dunno at what point it unlocks other than Pepper's quest line needs to be completed. I just checked in on her every so often because early on she said to come back later and she might have some work.
The quest unlock after you get the Lantern I think cause the quest is technically a rift

Legit the worst boss fight in the game. Anyone know what the rewards are for this one?

You can see the reward in the quest menu, i think it's just the mug.

Tip: Focus on killing the small minions. They don't actually spawn infinitely. Once the boss is alone, it's really easy.

Oh. Then upgrading rift stuff should make it way easier.

I'm not entirely sure if it's counted as an actual entropy rift... so the witch lantern buffs probably won't work(?).
I just skipped it and finished it after completing the main story, it was a cakewalk by then.
This quest is horrible. I finally beat it and the reward was that you get to keep the mug? WTF am I going to use that for?

To mug them
Yeah I hated this and just left. I actually lost my daggers too when she gave me the mug. I auto equipt and they are gone from my inventory. Such crap

I did the quest much later at level 80 i think. It was much easier, than at the lower level.
