aurora profitability

its about 340 credits for one chasmbass oil and i need 2 per unit and that only has a value of 740. is the recipe for 1 single aurora? this dosnt seem profitable at all and im not seeing any of these stupid fish spawning in neon.

Do shifts at Xenofresh, take all of the ingredients every time, make one Aurora, pocket any extra stuff for your own use. You can also farm the fish below Neon. But, Aurora is really penny ante compared to guns and suits and ammo.

With the perks in Pharmacy skills you can get procs of extra when you craft it, but it is rare.
When a proc occurs you simply take the ingredients for the next batch but do not craft it. The ingredients for Aurora are not contraband, but the extra unprocessed is contraband.

Farming the fish for the oil sucks, you pretty much have to jump into the air from the water and shoot them because you cannot attack while swimming.

As Kdodds pointed out the money aspect for producing your own aurora is not really worth it at all. The only reason for even doing it would be for role playing and immersion reasons.

The quests for Lagrange is worth it though if you take only what is needed and produce it on time for the production bonus. I think it figures to be about 8500 credits for the quest.
