Eye Tracking / Tobii support
Bethesda team, hello!
We all can't wait till game release and looking impatiently toward it.

Please add Eye Tracking functionality (Tobii, etc.), such as Extended View, HUD gaze fade in/out, Aim at gaze, Interact at gaze.

Please also go to tobii web site [gaming.tobii.com] scroll to bottom and request a game!

🙏🤞

P.S. For those who are not familiar with those terms, there is a short demo of Tobii 5 capabilities in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Doubtful, this is another bit of a fad in gaming. Like VR, it will never be THE way to game. And, on top of that, there's virtually no support for Tobii in the market and Bethesda has a history of not catering to niche markets. As of their last release they still haven't addressed ultrawide or high refresh.

Please tell that to the dozen or more recent Ubisoft game, what all has Tobii support :)

Yes, +1 support request from me.

This is the perfect game to add Tobii Eyetracking support to!

+1 from me
+1 from me and then VR, please.

Disagree. It is just additional device support for those, who are having this device that only extends the impression from gameplay.
It harmless for all the other players, who used to play without it (most of the players).
But for those gamers who already have this device (e.g Tobii 5), it may bring the QoL (quality of life) improvements.

Get a bigger picture, this is a device to get retina biometric data which is unique for each human. Those who push it are either outright evil or stupid.

You serious, or you trolling? Because your "knowledge" is as far-fetched as the flat Earth believers' preaching :D

things change, mate. Technologies become more popular and available.
I hope that Bethesda has the capabilities to add such eye tracking support.
It might not be even noticable for players without it, but those who do have this device it would enrich the joy. And the main task of the game is to entertain the player. This is personal. And it is not a competition. Let anyone play the way they want. The only thing we are asking, is adding such Tobii support. Those who dislike this request, most probably never use this device. Either way, eye tracking is optional feature, so no worry.

I'm all for it as a QoL input, absolutely.

But that doesn't change that it's super niche in gaming. I have it on my laptop, never use it. I know several others, as well, who never use it. In fact, it became so annoying that I turned it off completely. Kind of the same as the 3D monitor/glasses thing that just went away. Was cool, but, eventually, that wears thin and you go back to normal play. As an input device though, absolutely.

You are right. Niche audience, minority of gamers. That is why we are raising this discussion. And if, by happy change, Bethesda will have spare capabilities to deliver this feature, I think game will only become one step better.

You would know if a technology is scanning your retina, as you'll see nothing except for red background and also your retina while it's going on, and see your retina as well. The eyetracker ASIC called EyeChip will process eye data on-unit, and send processed results to the PC, as coordinates. discarding irrelevant data .. long story short.. according to terms and condiions they are strict

Everyone says so, everyone says so. Then it turns out Goodle recorded random human interactions including private times through the phone.

DOI: 10.3389/fnbot.2021.796895

"Conclusion: The features that could be extracted from eye-tracking data included pupil size, saccade, fixations, velocity, blink, pupil position, electrooculogram (EOG), and gaze point. Fixation was the most commonly used feature among the studies found."
still want Tobii support.

Track IR and FaceTrack IR have been used by flight sim community for decades -- decades!
So not a fad, no-no, only to those sad people who know no better.

Will it be seamlessly implemented by BGS on Day 1? I highly doubt it, but maybe my squadmates and I can mod something up for the rest of you old grognards...
