Too much loot I can't sell it all
I like to loot all my enemies, so after a fight I'm pretty much loaded with weapons, spacesuits and helmets, also some misc stuff too. I have to fly to different planets for more traders yes, but its not enough, I can always only sell some part of it and have to hoard the rest in my ship, but my ship is full now too. Why on earth are the traders capped so low on credits I don't get it.

If you don't mind using mods, you can use one that makes traders have more credits.

oh thanks I check the setting out

I'm also using ok with using mods, but is this mod still achievment friendly or not?

There is also an in game setting for this.

After a while you don't need the loot except for some specific items. It's best to take all the resources to the lodge and put them in the basement storage box. That way later when you need something for an research or upgrade it's available.
They added an update where they added a bunch of settings to adjust the game. One setting increases or decreases vendor credits. Increasing vendor credits lowers xp gains, but you can raise vendor credits while selling and then lower it back down. Also lowering vendor credits below the base amount increases xp gains so if you're willing to do some micro you can lower credits while exploring and raise them when selling.

I had a lot of stuff that I could not sell so I had a yard sale.

Ok, now THAT is GOOD! Do NPC's pick up random stuff from the pile? Or did that mechanic go away with FO4?

Nye while this may seem funny.... exactly these kind of things are why starfield saves can break on you :-D each item has its own code and is added to you save file ontop every piece of code needs processing. It has been a while since i last saw it happen but people have been forced to delete a save and totally start over because of this.

best to just adjust the game dificulty vendor sliders and take that temporary xp hit for vendors with more money. Sell as much as you can and once these vendors are depleted... wait for 48 UTC ingame and the vendors wil reset just fine, offering you new resources to buy more ammo and health stuff:steamthumbsup:
This is the one I use for the vendors, it makes a HUGE difference, some vendors are wealthy enough to empty out my 45,000 mass cargo hold after crafting lmao.... Even the basic Trade Authority Kiosk now has 50k credits, but others have far more, like out in Wolf where you can safely sell contraband.

Also This to keep Achievements when modding or using console commands.

BTW: You can just pull up the sliders right before you access the vendor's listing... ...then the TA shops and e.g. Neon Tactical and Centauran Arsenal have 62.5kCr. After selling your stuff, adjust back down, and nothing happened (apart from you getting the cash...)

You'll need to download from Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1402?tab=description , achievement enabler and the file also goes into the main starfield folder.
This used to frustrate me to, so I got the vendor limit mods and when the game was upgraded, I increased vendor limits. What I found though was that in each playthrough I was becoming a gazzilionaire really quickly and the game became boring. So I've reverted to vanilla. Makes the game feel more challenging for me. Just a thought.

lol, could be true in some cases, but if you build a lot of ships those credits go really fast, just one ship could be well over a million credits when all is said & done, plus shopping and all that can take a lot. As quickly as I can get credits I tend to spend them, or give them away to NPC for things, & the crafting does take plenty of effort too, so it doesnt feel like cheating. There will be more ways to spend credits & resources too with mods. ;)

Hhhmmm.... Aside from ships, I just don't spend a lot of money. I have bought the odd firearm or two here and there, but, for the most part, I just run with the equipment that I find/loot.... improve it as much as I can, and use it until something better comes along. Except for my sniper rifle. Sure, the MagSniper does far more damage than the hard target, I just like the HT better. :D Besides, fully modded up, it's a one-shot kill on darn near everything anyway.
