If that were the case then it HUD would look equally as washed out as the game does. Only the HUD icons are actually black. And this is the ONLY game I play that is affected.
CRT black levels are very good. As far as what's going on with your screen specifically, Windows HDR calibration really varies depending on the game, your GPU, your drivers and the specific monitor or TV you're running on. Some games just work better on certain monitors when HDR is turned off, others require a lot of custom calibration to work well.

You may need spectacles if you think SF graphics look like 2013 graphics. Book an urgent opticians appointment. Either that or get a better PC and turn it all up to ultra. Looks fantastic.
