Could be a conflict but with another mod and although I've got a few, my game is nowhere near as modded as the playthroughs I was watching where it all worked properly. I'll probably have to shut them down one by one and see if that helps. As far as xedit I'm not using nexus mods on this computer everything is strictly from creations only. I stayed away from nexus while using creations because I didn't want to be running mods from two different sources. Don't really know if that would mess things up worse.
If it's a paid mod it can't be on nexus, that's part of the conditions of using Creations.
It also has to be a new mod to be able to be a paid mod. No mod that was previously hosted anywhere else can be a paid mod on Creations.
So, yep free mods can be on both but not the OPs specific issue because it's a paid mod.
Edit: For a practical example to further demonstrate this, Forgotten Armory Collection[creations.bethesda.net] was released as a free mod[www.nexusmods.com] on the Nexus, that was later re-purposed and sold as a Creation by it's author.
