idk.. do you feel in a modding mood?
No. Nor do I have the requisite abilities. Instead, I am putting out into the ether my singular desire for a joinable Goose faction that arises to conquer the universe, and halfheartedly hoping it will be manifested. 😂
hmm... you know... i like the general idea... House Go'ose... United Geese... Free roaming Geese...
Fun aside... i think best place to voice the idea would perhaps be one of the Sites were most Modders tend to accumulate.. like Nexus or the BSG Modding Forum.. if they have something like that.
that of course depends on how serious you take your idea...
and because... well... steam forum still is not relaxed enough...
Just a general gag by Bethesda...
The pirate was known as "Mother Goose", IIRC, and the spacers have been hunting for her treasure, for it to be little more than her pranking them with hand crafted geese, and a small portion of her fortune to keep them looking...
There's 8 in total to be found, btw...
So the very definition of a "wild goose chase", both figuratively, and literally...
I got that mixed up with the golden egg laying goose. Can't tell my goose from me geese as it were.
I mean, they do have item value... if you don't use a mod that removes said value for the sake of making the game... harder.
8 named geese, as opposed to generic versions, I meant...
Yes I'm mostly just trying (poorly) to inject much needed humor in this instance lol. (Well... I mean... I'd still play it if someone made it. And someone did make a rubber ducky hunt mod so...)
I enjoyed the search though.
I couldn't resist.
A Wild Goose Chase
On a quest through the stars, onward we race,
For Mother Goose's treasurer place.
Pack, Lack, Nack, Kack reveal their small stash,
But the secret grows stranger, no hoard of cash.
Mack, Quack, Jack, still sit on their nest,
Eighteen in the shadows, all at rest.
With Cutter in hand, we carve through the rock,
Chasing a mystery, and the best of the flock.
Bethesda’s wink, a cosmic jest,
In this wild goose chase, we're put to the test.
And that's the entire point though... That's what made it so awesome... It was the literal definition of a "wild goose chase"...
Bethesda were having a laugh at our expense... It's gonna be one of the most memorable experiences in Shattered Space for me, simply because it is so random...
Yeah it was pretty good lol. They make for interesting decorative displays too.
