what beeping sound? explain. Where do you hear it? What are you doing when you hear it? Is it on a ship? while you walk the surface of a planet? on Atlantis? While you have your inventory open? In a Store? Do you have Mods installed? Pc or console?

did you check your status? You can check your status and see if you have frostbites for exemple, illness, hunger and thirst, or losing oxygene. Some planets have weather warning, and the suits system isn't the best. So you must craft and upgrade them for better protection.

Yeah for some reason all the space suits are made of paper, they don't protect much until you mod them up nicely and wear some good under clothes. Once I do that I rarely hear the beeping anymore, unless it's a really bad storm.

Ah. so the beeping is really the status? Any idea what it is? Loss of oxygen? Weather?

well you can buy stuff from the clinic on Atlantis (As well find some in loot) that can help you explore harsh planets. Have you used those? they can add more protection.

I think it means your suits protective power is getting low and you will soon start to take environment damage, like cold or heat.

Gotcha! Thanks :)

If you need your suit's protection, remember that protection is finite. The beeping is the warning that your suit's compensatory environment is draining and will stop protecting you. It's a warning to get inside.

It's annoying i agree, but it makes going to the more hostile planets more dangerous, which the role side playing part of me kind of likes, as I say, once you gear up with a good suit, mod it out on a spacesuit workbench, and find some good under clothing (thermal underpants etc) then it's not an issue anymore.

I'd personally still prefer 15 minutes or so before you start taking damage however.
Buff your gear, and look into the leftmost skill tree.
