Is your ship taking off without you?

Wooooooow you are late... this was made apparent before Starfield was even released.

Yeah, it's not a space sim. You can use mods to make it more immersive though. Personally I use these:
More Immersive Takeoffs and Landing - Basically makes it so that you are restricted to cockpit view when landing and taking off instead of throwing you into a 3rd person cutscene: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/2835

More visualized docking - Again basically helps with the immersion, except this time for docking : https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4679

Always land on planets - Kind of essential for the more immersive takeoff and landing mod above. Makes it so that you don't just teleport in front of your ship when you visit previous locations. https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4676

More dramatic grav jumps - Makes grav jumps look even more impressive from the cockpit : https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/2413

Optional:
Immersive Landing Ramps - Lets you remotely control your ships landing ramp. Now you have to manually open and close it when you land. Useful for keeping critters or thieves out of your cargo bay. Again purely immersive : https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/9363

Astrogate - Oh man... this is optional, but you'd be silly not to have it. Basically it adds supercruise (ala Elite Dangerous) so no more cutscenes from planet to planet. You can now travel to them manually. It even comes with autopilot, enabling you to get up from the pilots seat to poop or something. Lastly, it comes with a remote control device to tell your ship to take off or land when on the ground. Useful for calling your ship to you if you're like me and refuse to fast travel anywhere - https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/8093

There likely won't ever be a mod that lets you manually land, but at least with these mods above you can increase your immersion and even have additional control over your starship.

Why do you want to control your ship's takeoff? (beyond pressing the space bar)

Easy, it's an RPG, not a flight sim.

Its more a looter shooter since the game has no dialogue consequences that change the story. Neither a RPG or a flight-sim that's why so few play it.

I dont even know whats point then you can just teleport everywhere. Sure it has space battles but those are not fun at all. Even Lego Star Wars did it better

Dialogue consequences that change the story are not necessary to RPGs. What you're talking about is fan service summations of "choose your own adventure" type story telling. The impacts of decisions in game are softer and reflect your character's development and story, hence, role-playing. It most certainly is a role-playing game. People who actually own and play it can also attest to the fact that there are also multiple ways to accomplish goals that are very often based on the role your character has taken. Hence, yes, it most certainly is a role-playing game. You also develop your character, over time, gaining experience, learning new things, meeting new people, playing a role in the story. What I really take as funny, given BGS continued poking of gamers' minds with the subject of human hubris, is why some players think their characters define the world, rather than their being defined by it. Hubris is a continuing theme throughout BGS's RPGs. That's why I think it's hysterical when folks think their characters should control the game, and not vice versa. Ah well, I guess the message is lost on some.
