Starfield
Why Amelia Earhart companion?
I am wondering why bethesda made Amelia Earhart as a companion? In real life Amelia Earhart has been missing since 1937 but no body found only parts of her plane as for starfield she would have been long dead even if she survived and yet there is no info/background info on how she would have survived I mean if her life was frozen in time because of some kind of anomaly then this would make since but there is no info why Why make a Amelia Earhart companion unless bethesda really gave up on lore and realism?

This is the peril of learning information third or fourth hand, through YT videos, etc. It is explained very well in game. I advise not reading the spoiler and playing the game to learn for yourself, even though you've somewhat spoiled it for yourself so far.

There's a planet (not telling which) where many old-earth famous people have been resurrected as clones, Amelia Earhart is one of them.
It might help if you played the game for context. Its not what you think.
Didn't you notice that there are other long-dead characters involved in that questline? It's all explained in the quest if you take the time to listen to (or read) the dialogue.
I felt bad when I saw Genghis Khan commiting acts of piracy. Whoopsie, I just didn't like the idea of people being forced to live in one place.

Yes there is. Play the game instead of making guessing based on seeing mention of a character name.

They didn't notice because they didn't play the quest.
My only question is how did they clone her, or some of the others for that matter. Did they find her body and get some cells? I highly doubt it.

The concept of the questline is okay ... meaning at least it's something to do. But dang you try to put any kind of logic or science to it and it all falls apart.

Unlike........ lot's of other stuff in the game where the logic and science hang together no matter what.

Edit: as a companion she is a good shot with a rifle.

It'd be pretty easy to explain as a Starborn from another universe that had the samples or knowledge of what happened to the originals in their universe, leading to them recovering DNA for all of the clones. We have several indicators of Starborn manipulating things in our origin universe over the years, it's not unlikely there were others behind various scientific milestones/breakthroughs.

They state in-game that they used the DNA from descendants and descendants of relatives to attempt to recreate the person's genome along with a sort of brainwashing technique to implant fake memories and perceived personality traits.

Also explained in game.

Because Bethesda DID give lore reasons as to why she's there. It's really not that hard to miss nor understand...
It does require for you to actually pay a monicum of attention however.
But here let me spoil it for you: She's a Starborn!

This is where I like the theory that previous Starborn have been involved in science endeavors. Earhart had no children, and a clone of even a sibling would be fairly different. Descendants of descendants of relatives isn't too different than just cloning some random person and telling them their a clone of Earhart
Dear OP the simple answer to your question is easy. IT IS JUST A GAME!
