Do yall think they will ever fix the bad performance?
Starfield is the only game that runs like absolute ass for me with consant stutters and frame drops walking over the planets.

Literally no game i own runs even remotely that bad lol

EDIT: SPECS

RTX 4070ti
i7 12700k
32gb ddr4 3600mhz
samsung 980 nvme

After reading the comments it seems its either a broken install or mods ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my game.

It runs fine on my PC. Smooth as butter and no graphical glitches. I'm sorry you're having trouble, but most aren't as far as I can tell.

What are your specs? Because starfield has always performed the way it should and the optimisation has always been on the better end.

Odds are the issue is on your side.

I still dont get how NMS runs better despite having entire universe compared to Starfield where everything is locked behind loading screens.

It runs great for me with an average 80 fps and no stutters or dropped frames at all.

Because no man sky is voxel based.

The approach and design of a game impact its performance. Had starfield used the same simplistic style nms does, it would have also been seamless.

Scopes are the thing you don’t seem to understand. Maybe you should stop comparing games like these until you do know what a scope is.

As others have stated, I'm not seeing any issues at all and I'm running 4K Ultra @ 100+fps. Most "bad performance" isn't the game, it's the end users' machines. Please provide hardware specs if you want help or suggestions.

Same, the only solution that helped for me was getting a new CPU, the framedrops are still there but they are now dropping into the low 60's fps range and are less stuttery, instead of the 35-40's I was previously experiencing. The older CPU still surpassed the listed recommended CPU for Starfield.

Edit: After further testing the game can still easily stutterchug below 60, current lowest is around 47, observed while walking around the robot farm outside Akila. No mods installed. Baseline FPS is around 95-116 at this area without framegen and is cpu bottlenecked. CPU is 5800x3D, GPU 4070 ti, 32gb ram, game installed on samsung SSD

Yes…. Some people do indeed refuse to accept the truth

What OP is experiencing is usually a sign that it's time to accept the battlestation can no longer do battle.

Probably because NMS recommends an GTX 1070 but it can be played on an i3 with a Radeon R5 from 10 years ago?

i have an i7 12700k, 4070ti, 32gb DDR4 ram at 3600 mhz and a samsung nvme.

Games like horizon forbidden west, no mans sky, ghost of tsushima and monster hunter world for example all run at 1440p, max settings at 100+ fps, no stutters.

Starfield runs at 1440p and everything set to high and on some planets i get constant stutter, fps drop or short freezes while walking.

I tried everything , my nvme doesnt go above 10%, my cpu stays under 80%, neither ram nor vram are maxed, cpu and gpu stay under 70°C, its like the game doesnt use my pc correctly.

And how full is the storage device?

Just for reference, comparing performance between other gamers is pointless unless you know exactly how it should perform. Every game is different.

hmm it should run pretty good on your machine, have you verified your game files? Any mods? Drivers updated? Are you using Nvidia's frame gen in settings?
