"Default Planet Material" "The Swap Hasn't Occurred" "You shouldn't be seeing this"
Erm... All planets now look like a place holder with that message on them... My game isn't modded so it's not on my end, what happened?

Verifying files and a reboot fixed it for me.

I close the game and load the save and problem was gone... But surely it was weird.. :Unic:

I have the same problem. No modding, no console commands. Just plain game and after update, all stars, planets and moons scream at me, that I shouldn´t be seeing this.

Try restarting the game.

I try it but didn´t fixed it. I had to go and verify game files. That helped.

Hummm mine didn't require that but I'm glad it's fixed.

As I commented in another post, it appears that some cached files were in a lock state and the patch could not update them without a reboot. I see this as a Windows issue and not a Bethesda issue.

Very likely true as I moved Steam out from under \Program Files (x86) many moons ago and no longer have these problems in any games. There's something about Windows UAC and anything installed under either \Program Files folder.

We should try to keep one of these threads at the top for all the people coming back, seems to affected almost everyone. So bump, and I never bump.

That is probably the reason I'm not seeing many if any of the problems people complain about as bugs. I also install my games outside of Program Files in order to get them away from Windows UAC.
